All of my digital images and a small number of my paintings and drawings are available as prints.   (Inquire about paintings which you might wish to own in print format.)

  • The image.  We use high resolution digital images to make prints.  Art made with traditional media (oil, gouache, charcoal) are reproduced by photograph or scan and adjusted, if need be, for color fidelity to the original.  Where the art was made on an iPad or other digital device, the image may be adjusted to a higher resolution for sharper printing and color corrected to better approximate the colors seen on the tablet’s back-lit screen.
  • Materials and process.
    • Small prints on paper (e.g., 4″ x 4″, 4″ x 6″) are printed in-house on high quality photographic papers and watercolor paper, using high quality commercial inks.
    • Larger sizes are professionally printed using a wide-format printer, archival paper (typically, photo rag, a thick, velvety paper specially formulated for wide-format printers), and archival inks tailored for high quality, color-specific representations.  Such prints are often termed ‘giclees’.
    • Prints on canvas are also available upon request.
    • Prints are signed, annotated with their edition number, if applicable, and rolled into a tube for shipping if provided without mat.
  • Pricing.
    • Small prints (image sized at 8″ x 8″ or under, printed on a larger size paper to facilitate framing), and matted are $40.00 each.
    • Medium prints (image between 10″ and over on one side), matted are $60 each.
    • Large prints (the image, itself, rather than the paper on which printed, is between 144 sq. in and 192 sq. in.) are $80 each.
    • Discounts are available for orders of more than one print.  Inquire about prices for works larger than the above ~~ an extremely large print recently sold for $800.

  • Tips on Framing Prints.  With limited exceptions, paintings, drawings,  and prints are sized, so that they will fit into standard-sized frames ~~ typically with a mat surround in the case of works on paper.  Prints may also be hung with a simple mat and clips, as shown in this local B&B.
